coleraine art society - home page
Welcome to the Coleraine Art Society Webpage

The society was set up 56 years ago with the aim of supporting and encouraging
Coleraine's amateur artistic community. These aims remain the ground-stay of the
society's functions to this day.

The society is made up of amateur and semi-professional artists of all ages and
skill levels. From those just starting to experiment with visual creativity to those
who have been practising (and learning) for many years.

Coleraine, for those visitors not from the area, can be found just inland from the
north coast of Northern Ireland. About 60 miles north of Belfast and 30 miles east
of Londonderry.

For a small annual membership fee the society provides members with :

  • a yearly season, September - April, of lectures and demonstrations
  • access to an extensive library of "how to" art videos
  • two annual public exhibitions (Summer and Winter)
  • an annual trip to an area of natural beauty or artistic interest
  • access to this web site to upload and exhibit their work online
  • the recently introduced "paint together" sessions in the Flowerfield centre

  • If you want to join the society please come along to one of the meetings and join
there or contact one of the committee directly. Their contact details can be found
    on the information page.

Please feel free to browse the site using the menu options at the top of
each page and contact us using the notice board found on the information page
    with your comments and suggestions!
